So
strongly do we feel the importance of good food after each day's skiing
that the chalet is even named after the head chef and catering manager
- Jay
Khadka.
| Although only 23, Jay has spent more than
ten years as a working chef having started his career as a child
kitchen hand in the tourist hotels of one of the great food spots
of the world; Kathmandu. In 1990 he was adopted by a British family
and eventually became head chef and catering manager at Clearwell Castle, their home in Gloucestershire where they
specialised in large scale wedding functions. Today Jay runs his
own hotel and restaurant in Tunbridge Wells,
as well as personally ensuring his high culinary standards throughout
our chalets during the winter season. |
 |
Between
meals Jay has yet another career; he is currently the Champion
Nepalese skier and each day he must race train for the forthcoming
All Asia Championships
so you can imagine
the attention he pays to knowing the correct diet for busy skiers!
