This is where we put letters from guests who have enjoyed their stay with us:

29th January 2001.

Dear Chez Jay,

This morning I woke up at 8 o'clock and said "come in", but there was no sign of a life-saving cup of tea delivered to my room!

We had a pleasant homeward journey, taking the picturesque Annecy route, as you suggested. We also played lateral thinking games (surprise, surprise!), which made the time pass more quickly.

I just wanted to say thanks again to all of you for being such wonderful hosts. You work so well as a team - your operation is seamless. And you all achieve that perfect balance between being totally friendly, yet remaining totally professional.

So, thanks to Dominic for fattening us up in such gourmet style; to Ben for his role in the expanding waistline effect, and also for carrying my shopping down the mountain without squashing a single tomato! To Prem for the life-saving cups of tea in the morning; and to Jay for his excellent culinary contributions despite his injury, and for putting me through my paces on our last day of skiing!

As for you, Martin, your kindness and patience impressed me greatly. You made us feel as if nothing was too much trouble to make our stay more enjoyable. Skiing wise, I would follow you anywhere -- if only I could emulate your style too.

Finally, it has to be said, I was delighted to find a fellow Welshy in a foreign land, and I shall always remember singing Calon Lăn with you on the Grand Col chairlift! (Poor Jay must have thought we were bonkers!)

You are very special, and I wish you happiness in everything you do.

Llawer o gariad,

Pauline. x

Hi Martin,

How are things in Villaroger these days, hope you're all keeping busy. I've settled back into routine and mundane things like work. It's surprising how quickly time is passing by, we're all looking forward to summer and the light evenings, although we've had some snow lying around here for the last couple of weeks, its really cold here at the moment.

As promised, I've enclosed a few prints, sorry I've taken a while to send them. I hope they bring back a few memories for you. They certainly remind me of a great week I spent with you.

Hoping you are all keeping well and Ben's cooking is up to standard, thanks again for a superb week and any time you're in the valleys get in touch and I'll only be too glad to return some hospitality,

Regards,

Anthony

Dear Martin and Ben
Thank you for all your kindness and hospitality last week. Everything you did served to make the holiday brilliant in every way. I have come home feeling relaxed and invigorated - sure signs of a marvellous time. When you dropped me off at Bourg I felt somewhat emotional at the thought of leaving and any more goodbyes would I'm sure have led to a tear or two. I hope you are enjoying a well earned rest and that Ben has the opportunity to catch up on lost skiing. I will hopefully see you next year from 22.02.03-01.03.03. At this stage I'm unsure of the size of the party but there will certainly be one in it. Anyway thank you again for last week. I've thought of lots of superlatives to describe Chez Jay but 'perfect' seems the only appropriate description.

Take good care of yourselves
Best Wishes
Kevin
