Chez
Jay at Montchavin offers a choice between two chalets,
in the La Plagne ski resort:
Colchiques
and
Perce
Neige
Whilst
Chez
Jay at Villaroger has
just one chalet:
Le Pre
at Villaroger, in the Les Arcs domain.
|
|
Le
Pre at Villaroger is a very unique chalet in a very
unique village. |
| |
| At
Le Pre we have two chalets next
door to each other, the old Farmhouse provides bedroom accommodation,
whilst the Lodge provides the additional bedrooms and the dining
and lounge areas. |
| The front door opens on to a large
south facing terrace with views across the valley to tree covered
slopes leading up to the high altitude border with Italy.
Every
room has a fabulous view!
Whilst
central heating provides the background warmth, there is an
original stove which pumps out an atmospheric warmth, re-creating
the ambience of a bygone age. |
| The
Longest Black run
in the world ends in the back garden:-
Read about it in the resort page.
View from the chalet, showing the
main chair lift and just in front of it, the baby lift.
|

|

 |
As
you can see, the buildings are conveniently located together.
The ski lift is a mere 100m away,
so you can eat breakfast until the lift starts. You don't have
to worry about queues - there aren't any. Le Pre has a peak season
population of about 40 skiiers! Close as you are to the lift,
there is no need to walk, it is downhill from the front door,
and the piste comes so close to the back door that you can ski
home at the end of the day. |
| Luxury Bath and Hand towels are provided
for each guest along with complementary soaps and shampoos. A
special welcome tray will greet each guest on arrival in their
room and a number of interesting books and magazines are always
available for those moments when guests need to relax in the comfort
of a fireside armchair. |
This
chalet has enormous charm with many unique features.
